The “DISCOVER ARCHITECTURE” summer workshop introduces the fields of Architecture and Architectural Engineering to potential university students through academic projects that are designed to stimulate creativity... and be fun! Participants will live in campus housing, and complete several hands-on building projects to help students understand if a career in the building arts might be right for them. The program is offered by Oklahoma State University faculty, at the Stillwater campus, for students who are at least 16 years of age.
Discover Architecture will be held on the OSU Stillwater campus. Discover Architecture is a “residential workshop” – meaning students will live in dormitory facilities and participate in academic activities in OSU campus facilities over the course of the three day event.
There are two opportunities to attend the workshop: June, 27-29, 2019 or July 11-13, 2019. The workshop is held in the Donald W. Reynolds School of Architecture Building, OSU Stillwater Campus. Participants will attend workshop activities from 9am-8pm each day. Students should choose which of the two sessions they wish to attend.
Students who are at least 16 years old are eligible to attend.
There is a $150 fee for participants to attend the workshop. All project supplies and equipment, instruction by OSU faculty, meals, and double occupancy dorm accommodations during the workshop are included in this fee. The workshop is sponsored by OSU and several architecture firms from OKC and Tulsa, which allows the program to be offered at such a low cost to participants.
