Faculty of the School of Architecture offered three summer opportunities for study abroad, which attracted 29 student participants - the largest number in school history!  The first offering was the traditional program focused on observation, analysis, and sketching led by Professors Homer, Richardson, and Sanza in Rome and Northern Italy for five weeks in duration.  The Professors Bilbeisi led an add-on program of two weeks, titled ‘Europe: South to North’ which investigated the history and architecture of Barcelona and London through the rigor of journaling.  Professor Ra led the new two week ‘Urban Asia’ program, which allowed students to study the architecture and culture of Seoul and Tokyo through the lens of video production.  The School places high value on the study of architecture through first hand programs of study abroad; in 2016, all freshmen entering the School are required to complete a study abroad program as a condition for graduation.  If you would like further information on study abroad opportunities, please contact Professor Suzanne Bilbeisi or Associate Professor Jeanne Homer, at 405-744-6043.
